Every 10 years the AIA updates several of their contracts. Many of the changes can be confusing including the BIM requirements for your project.
Attorney Kevin Healy of Collins Collins Muir + Stewart will take us through some of the changes in the AIA 2017 documents that can impact your architectural or engineering firm. He will share examples on the implications of using your drawings to identify construction conflicts when the design professional is not involved in the final BIM review/input with the D/B Contractor.
Kevin will also help us to better understand the impact of various contract language and how to better negotiate your contracts between your clients and subconsultants.
