Misclassification: To Classify or Not Classify – that is the question.
April 16 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm PDT
One of the most misunderstood sets of rules when it comes to compliance is employee classification—determining whether an employee is exempt or non-exempt comes down to two simple concepts the salary and their duties. Yet, so many employers get the ladder wrong and leave themselves vulnerable to costly risk. This course, will provide you with the information you need to understand different exemptions, the duties, components, and best practices to keep in mind when determining employee exemption status. Additionally, we will review what you need to know about AB5 and how it impacts an independent contractor relationship.
